It never ceases to amaze me how the Media long before Bill Clinton came on the scene marked Barack as the black Presidential candidate. It's like no one would be able to distinguish the fact the man is black and he must be careful that he does not run a black campaign.
I never knew such an animal existed until now, we have black campaigns that can only be run by black men..gotcha.
Of course after 44 white men running the country I guess it's no mistake the media would slam any black man no matter the credentials and constantly remind them not to run a black campaign. I guess this is code for, don't waste your vote for the black guy, we don't want to break our white streak.
Black men have always had to go the extra 1000 miles to get ahead and that's why there's no doubt Barack would turn this ship around. If he were to become the first black President there would be a 1000 times more scrutiny as compared to that of a white man or woman. But it seems the media has it out for the man who would be black and has it's forces bent on destroying his run, even using the likes of Bill Clinton to get it done.
Let's face it, the Media picks and steers the balance of opinions in this country and they do it well. They can make or break a candidate at any point and time during the campaign season.
Barack is a candidate of the people, all people who happens to be black. He should take on the national media head on for labeling him the race card candidate, the black candidate and the black people's candidate which is totally incorrect. If blacks vote for him then he's no different from Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton who were unqualified black Presidential Candidate's. Thanks for that meaningful assessment Chris Matthew of Hardball, talking about media spins, this is the biggest one out there.
Obama will continue his slide down the polls as white America and yes some in black America will listen to the Media idiots who continue to slam him for being black and using any reference to his black heritage. Unlike any white man running who can call upon Ronnie Reagan, LBJ, Truman and the likes and have no repercussions of being to white. Whites in the race can talk to any of the thousands of white clubs, groups, or leaders of various churches and have no repercussions of being to white or running as a white President.
I guess one day this country will grow up and truly not judge a man or woman by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I just don't understand how it is we have the audacity to go into other countries trying to tell them about democracy when we don't have a fair system of it ourselves. Forty four US Presidents and all "white men", sounds more like a monarch instead of democracy that we should be pushing on other countries that we illegally invade.
